My summer workshops have now finished and before I start my autumn classes on 27 September, I have a special class just for beginners on 26 August with all proceeds going to the Aldburgh Library Foundation.  This will give people the chance to come and try and find out if it's something they would like to pursue: all equipment will be provided. Autumn classes are listed here or you can send me an email for further details: beginners are very welcome.

I have been working on diverse books about 'scything' and the 'love life of plants' while books I have illustrated over the past year or so are now in bookshops.  The latest is 'Skeletons: The Extraordinary Form and Function of Bones'.  Others include: 'The Book of Frogs'; 'Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises: A Natural History and Species Guide'; 'The Book of Beetles' and 'How to Make Coffee: the science behind the bean'.

We have had a wonderful spring/early summer with 7 and our new 10 day holidays at The Old Stone House in Turkey.  Feedback has been terrific and we are now looking forward to the September programme (limited space only now, from 11-21 September) of painting holidays  where I am looking forward to meeting new and returning guests.
